Promoting citizens’ and representative associations’ participation in, and contribution to the democratic and civic life of the Union!

How can I participate

Citizens

We aim to work with citizens that wish to become more engaged with their local communities. If you are a citizen, you feel like your voice is not being heard or you do not feel represented in the decision-making processes in your country and in the EU, and you want to learn more about how you can participate in our project and promote local solidarity, develop a local initiative or receive training to develop your skills as a local leader, this project is for you! Contact us!

Civil Society Organizations

The project will also support local organizations with training and support to local solidarity initiatives. We will also engage CSOs that represent groups of people that may be underrepresented in the decision-making processes in drafting policy recommendations to be presented to national and European decision makers. If your association is located in one of the partners’ countries and wants to know more about how you can benefit from the project, contact us!

Local authorities

In each of the participating countries we are working with local authorities to strengthen their capacity to implement participatory approaches and foster bottom-up policies and programmes that aim to promote local solidarity. If you are part of a local authority, such as a city, parish or regional government in one of our 5 countries, and you want to know more, contact us!

Policy makers

We want to work alongside decision makers at the local, national and European levels and engage them in participatory consultation and engagement of underrepresented communities in the policy making process. If you are a decision maker and want to know more on how you can become an ally for underrepresented voices in our democracies, contact us!

During the course of our project we interviewd several people form diverse backgrounds as weel as workers from NGOs and Municipalities and decision makers. The result was a deep moving documentary that will now be used for a public campaign along with the policy brief produced.
Enjoy!
