ONLINE Belonging and Representation: A Debate Across the EU – Solidarity4all Documentary Premiere
For all of us who work to bring forward the voices of underrepresented people across Europe.
Date: 24th of June
Time: 11.00-12.00 am (CET)
Activating solidarity
Many CSOs in EU countries work towards the inclusion and participation of underrepresented groups in their societies. Too rarely do we have the opportunity to share and learn from each other’s challenges and solutions. We’ve found that when people get together across countries and across sectors, a lot of new possibilities arise.
A film premiere
For two years Solidarity For All has worked to identify the best tools to create more inclusion and representation in European societies. The journey was documented in a film that reflects the challenges of underrepresented groups, as well as solutions to those challenges.
We take a look at organisational life in Denmark, CSOs in Greece and community activities in Portugal, and see what happens when all these people come together and share their experiences.
A project for you
We want Solidarity For All to be a resource that you can use to create and advocate for more solidarity in your local context. Besides sharing the ideas of the project with you, we invite you to share your thoughts with us in a live online debate during the webinar. We want to know how you can use Solidarity For All in your work. Participation in the debate is not mandatory, it is perfectly alright to just listen in.
Programme:
- Introduction of Solidarity For All by project leader Carla Calado, Aga Khan Foundation
- Presentation of the documentary by Janine Coelho Gomes, producer and director
- Documentary screening
- Belonging and Representation – Live debate hosted by Martin Lange, THE WHY Foundation
